All through elementary school, jr. high, and high school one of my daughter's best friends and partners in crime was a little neighbor boy named Stephen. He was at our house playing flashlight tag, swimming, or riding bikes on a regular basis. As Stephen and Jenny grew older he would come over just to hang out, drink sweet tea, or even sweep the roof . Now, he is married to a precious girl, Amy, and they are missionaries in South Africa. We just received word Friday that they were to become proud parents of an adorable little two month old baby. His name is Vusi Josiah Nicholson and he weighs 15 pounds. Stephen and Amy, we are all so happy for you and will pray for you daily as you enter that amazing world of parenthood. I can't wait to meet your baby. We can hardly believe that tomorrow is our second birthday. Time really does fly by when you are having fun. It seems like yesterday that Cari and I were meeting at my house and opening the boxes of new fall merchandise even before the shop location was completed. Indian Summer in Florida

The calendar says September, but the thermometer says 90 degrees. Our hearts long for pumpkins and fall fabrics but that pool looks and feels sooo good. Last year when Amy decided that she needed a part time job to have more spending money while at college, she went to work at Tarina Tarantino - an up and coming jewelry designer from LA.
