Oh My Goodness - It's Almost Over
We can't believe that the Main Street beautification project is almost completed. Kelly and I arrived at work this morning and flowers were blooming in the flower beds and the brick patterns were laid. Tomorrow is the deadline for completion and the crew is really working hard to be finished on time. We are so excited to reopen our front door, put our flower pots on the sidewalk, and take that obnoxious sign in our window down that begs our customers to use the back door. Hopefully, tomorrow our customers can enter Jellybeans through the front door!

BJ Loves To Visit Jellybeans
Bj is one of our favorite customers at Jellybeans. He came shopping today with his sweet mama and adorable little sister. BJ is wearing his LeTop mummy pant set that his mom bought at one of http://www.shopjellybeans.com/ famous two hour sales. BJ knows the routine at Jellybeans. First he always bakes cookies, then he smiles for our camera, and finally, after such a hard day shopping and playing, he takes a nap.

Memories from North Wauchula Elementary
As many of you know, back in another life, I taught kindergarten at North Wauchula Elementary for many years. It seems that I always had the most interesting and imaginative five years olds. Now, they are all grown up, and many of them are teachers themselves. When I see them around town, I see that little round smiling face that I loved so much. Today as I was sitting in church I looked over and saw one of my favorite kindergarteners sitting with his precious family. I smiled to myself as I thought of the day that he came into the classroom and announced that he could read. We had been learning letters and sounds and I was excited to see how he had merged those mysterious letters together to form a word. He looked up at the EXIT sign that led to the bus loading area. He very carefully spelled E-X-I-T and proclaimed "It says, Open the door and go out." Beautification? of Main Street and Jellybeans
Which way would you go? Just a little confusing!
The finished look
My mood gets a little more sour every day that our front door is closed. Only in Wauchula would the city plan a renovation project for fourth quarter. Now, our completion date is November 1. A picture is worth 1000 words. Enjoy!

Baby Betsy's Baptism
Every little girl who lives in the south needs pearls. My friend, Marsha, called to order the First Pearl Bracelet for her sweet granddaughter's baptism. It seems like just yesterday that her daughter was a little girl. Now, she is a proud mama with a beautiful baby and a handsome husband. Make sure that your little sweetie has beautiful keepsake jewelry from Fairy Tale Jewels that is available at http://www.shopjellybeans.com/.

Biscotti spells F-A-S-H-I-O-N at Jellybeans
Some of the cutest and most fashionable dresses at Jellybeans get looked over in our store. The all in one blueberry dress by Biscotti is one of my favorite all times dresses. The stretch cotton knit will fit your little girl in a very flattering way. The attached shrug adds a finishing touch. It has looked flattering on every little girl who has tried it on. This is a great dress for any fall occasion and will transition well into spring. The blueberry dress is available in size 4-6X at www.shopjellybeans.com and is pictured below on the right.

The Bailey Family
I know that several of http://www.shopjellybeans.com/ customers follow our blog. Here is a family photo taken the last Thanksgiving that my dear husband Walter was with us. Finding myself a widow, with none of my children living close, I decided to go for a dream and open Jellybeans. I hope that this photo will bring faces to our cute website.
Front row: sister in law Phyllis (she looks more like my girls than I do), baby daughter Amy (college student in NYC), middle daughter Jenny (she lives in West Palm Beach and is getting married in December), myself-Evelyn, daughter in law Dana (she's such a sweetie) husband Walter (we were married 35 years).
Back row: Son-Michael (he and Dana have three children and live in Deland where he is a veterinarian, Phyllis's husband Steve (known to my children as Uncle Stevie Baby).
Michael, Jenny, and Dana are all proud graduates of Auburn University.
We did not rope the kids in for the photo, but they are all over the blog and website.
Everyone in this picture is an integral part of Jellybeans support group. They have all worked at the shop on Thanksgiving and Christmas visits-Phyllis can wrap a mean gift!

Tyson is preppy in his Jellybeans duds
Tyson looks like the perfect little gentleman in his preppy shirt, pants, and Pediped flex Charlie loafers that his BooBoo brought him home from http://www.shopjellybeans.com/. He likes the way that he looks all dressed up, but just can't bring himself to let go of his fishing pole. Something makes me think that it runs in the family! Have fun Tyson and bring us home some fish to fry.

Brother and Sister Looks From Funtasia Too
Funtasia Too is known for their adorable appliques and unique reversible brother and sister collections. This years Christmas design is "Santa's Sleigh". Some of the outfits reverse to hearts or cars. Some have button off bows for a change of season. They are produced and designed in the United States. Every year my family does Christmas brunch with Santa at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. The children are always dressed in Funtasia Too. Pictured are Mandy and Delaney in their adorable "cousins" outfits. What will we choose for Christmas 2008? Whatever is left on the rack in their sizes!!! The price is right, but sometimes the selections are slim. Order your selections early before your size is gone. http://www.shopjellybeans.com/ is a great place for all of your Christmas outfits and gifts.

Halloween Tradition at Jellybeans- Guess the Corn!!
Every year since we have opened, we have had fun with the "Guess the Candy Corn" promotion at Jellybeans. We fill a pumpkin or some sort of container with candy corn and with each purchase our customers receive a guess as to how many pieces of candy are in the pumpkin. Last year, someone guessed within five, and no one else was even close. This isn't just for fun, we have a gift basket filled with Halloween treats and surprises and a $50 gift card. The promotion begins today, October 1 and we will call the winner on Halloween to come and pick up their prize. This years gift basket is filled with a Gund trick or treat bag, zip along spiders, light up belt ghouls-for safe trick or treating, Halloween pens-to drive the teachers crazy, and a Monster Truck Tee shirt. It is also filled with lots of candy to give the little darlings extra energy. Of course, mom's love the gift card! Come in and shop and bring a math wizard to help with your calculations.
