Father's Day Brunch For Dad

Most Dad's love Tex-Mex and this scrambled breakfast dish is one of favorites. It is fast and easy and just right served with fresh fruit and Florida orange juice. Let the kids help prepare this healthy breakfast just for Dad.


8 eggs, beaten
1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Low Fat Cottage Cheese
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
Make It!
BEAT eggs and cottage cheese with whisk until well blended; set aside.
COOK vegetables in medium nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat 2 to 4 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
ADD egg mixture and Cheddar; cook on medium heat 8 to 10 min. or until egg mixture is set, stirring frequently. Serve topped with salsa.

With lots of hard work and good help, Jellybeans Children's Boutique has moved to join the other retail shops at the Town Center plaza in Wauchula. We are adjoining Cat's on Main gift shop, which was voted best gift shop in Florida by Florida Monthly magazine. Cat's and Jellybeans have a pass through door allowing shoppers access to both boutiques. Two doors down is the Magnolia Tree boutique featuring Brighton jewelry and bags, Columbia clothing for men, and stylish women's clothing. Two blocks down Main Street is the Java Cafe, known for their fabulous desserts, wonderful sandwiches, and gourmet Friday Night dinner. Horizon Dance Bags Will Be Arriving Soon

We're super excited about being next door to a great dance studio when we move at the end of the month. It will be such fun to see the dancers each week and hopefully they will wander into Jellybeans with their moms. Slipper Cookies for Mother's Day

Hey kids, on Mother's Day after church while mom is resting and enjoying her afternoon nap, get Dad to help you make these fun and yummy slipper cookies.

To make a pair, first separate the 2 halves of an oval sandwich cookie (we used a Cameo) and remove the filling with a butter knife.
Next, slice a doughnut hole into thirds. Coat the rounded sides of the 2 end pieces with frosting (you can eat the middle piece), then roll them in shredded coconut tinted with red food coloring to create a pair of fuzzy slipper tops.
Use a dab of frosting to stick each slipper top to a cookie sole, then adorn the edges of the cookies with pink decorators' gel stitching.

They will be a fun no cook food project and are guaranteed to bring a big smile to mom's face.

Emmie Had Fun Shopping

Emmie came in today to shop with her $50 gift card that she won in our Easter Coloring Contest. She did such a good job of shopping and filled her bag up with Melissa and Doug goodies. Her mom tried to talk her into an orange gingham hair bow for cheer clinic, but she opted for light up stampers instead. Duh Mom!!

Spring Tea and Fashion Show

We had such fun participating in the 1st Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show sponsored by the Girlfriends of First Baptist Church, Wauchula. Almost 100 ladies were in attendance and a delicious chicken salad lunch was served. All of the children and young ladies who modeled for Jellybeans did an amazing job and looked stylish and trendy in our new Spring collections.

Jellybeans and Dignitaries

Two of my favorite www.shopjellybeans.com customers had a chance to meet and chat with the vice president this week. What a chance of a lifetime! I heard through the grapevine that VP Biden told Sarah that she was not allowed to date until she is 16. If the vice president says it, then it is almost law!!

Camping at Mosquito Lagoon

Four Dads took nine adventurous campers for a weekend trip to Mosquito Lagoon near New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The island is only navigated by boat and all of the water and food had to be transported by boat. I assume that due to the name, Mosquito Lagoon, the best time to camp is in the winter before the "skeeters" really begin to breed. Notice Mandy in the center pic, declaring their arrival at the Lagoon. I don't believe that she is wearing www.shopjellybeans.com for this trip. I've had heard from the moms that dirt is still surfacing from fingernails, ears, and that a little sand can be found in more than one head of hair. I want to thank all of the Dad's for a weekend that their children will remember fondly for a very long time.

My little Mandy and her cousin Delaney are cheering for their big brothers who are playing Upward basketball at their church. I went up to babysit last weekend and had a great time at the game and just visiting with the family. I already miss you all.
